"His eyes were very bright. I noticed them when he came close to shake my hand. Later on, it was always his eyes that I remembered. Later on, just thinking about those bright, cold eyes would make me shake in terror." (page 65)
This quote gives you a heads up on Dr.Franklin, and after the reader reads this they should be thinking uh-oh this guy is a bad person. It gives the reader a hint that he's going to something terrible to Semirah to make her feel that way. I mean why else would she feel that way about him if he's a good a person? In a way this quote is kind of foreshadowing that Dr.Franklin will do something to Semirah and Miranda in the future.
